Dance Movement Psychotherapy

 It is a creative way of using dance and movement to support dealing with emotional, psychological, and physical issues.  Sometimes, words are not enough to express our emotions, feelings, and thoughts or to release tension. Dance and movement can help to find a way to express ourselves. It can help us to improve our body awareness, confidence, and self-esteem and to experience the power of movement and dance. In a supporting and caring therapeutic relationship, we can explore any issue in our own space. Any individual, regardless of age, ability, mobility, or need, can benefit.

Personally, the reason I like using movement, listening, and following my body and its sensations, it always reveals something surprising to me, something unknown to my consciousness but known to my body.
